Partners from around the world have contributed their expertise and research study data.
The Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) is an agency dedicated to filling India’s needs by strengthening its biotechnology sector. BIRAC runs the Grand Challenges India Ki Data Challenge for Maternal and Child Health.
The Center for Integration of Data and Health Knowledge (CIDACS) conducts studies and develops new data analysis methodologies to answer key research questions and help Brazilian policymakers design effective solutions. As the lead partner with Ki on the data-oriented Grand Challenges Exploration-Brazil, CIDACS has made data available on more than 100 million Brazilians who have participated in the Bolsa Familia conditional cash transfer program.
The Institute for Disease Modeling (IDM) specializes in quantitative approaches to studying the dynamics of disease transmission. IDM has developed cutting-edge modelling software to help health experts optimize their decision-making about controlling disease—and ultimately to promote eradication.
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) aims to share rigorous data related to all aspects of population health, with the goal of generating policy-relevant evidence about what works and what doesn’t. IHME’s Global Burden of Disease project provides a comprehensive summary of what kills or disables people around the world.
